As a lifelong foodie and former college career counselor, Tracy Holleran finally took the advice she’d spent nearly 10 years doling out to students: follow your passion! In 2005 she paired her love of cooking with her educational background, and began teaching cooking classes and working as a freelance food writer and recipe developer As the owner of The Secret Ingredient Cooking School, LLC, Tracy’s work focuses on delicious, simple recipes which can easily be prepared at home, using the freshest, seasonal ingredients. She is a huge proponent of eating locally grown foods, supporting local farmers, and eating organically whenever possible.

In addition to writing for magazines, she also is the author of two food blogs, Season To Taste and The Secret Ingredient Online. Tracy lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband and two little girls.
